Terms of Use
Last updated 2026-06-09Snapstub is a small utility that turns your receipts into structured, exportable rows. These terms exist mostly to be clear about one thing: Snapstub is a record-keeping aid, not a tax advisor or an accountant — you are responsible for verifying your own numbers.
Acceptance
By installing or using Snapstub, you agree to these terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"), which applies to every app distributed through the App Store. Where these terms and the Standard EULA overlap, the Standard EULA controls.
Provided as-is
Snapstub is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including, but not limited to, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Optical character recognition is imperfect: Snapstub may misread an amount, a date or a merchant. We do not warrant that any extracted value, total, tax figure, or category is accurate. Always review the fields before relying on them, especially the ones flagged for confirmation.
Not tax or accounting advice
Snapstub does not provide tax, legal, or accounting advice, and the categories it suggests are conveniences, not determinations of deductibility. Tax rules differ by country and situation. Confirm your records with a qualified professional before filing anything.
Your data and exports
Your receipts, their images, and the exports you generate live on your device and wherever you choose to send them. You are responsible for your own backups. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for data loss — whether the cause is a Snapstub bug, iOS behavior, a device failure, user action, or anything else. Use the in-app Backup and your own cloud backup to keep your records safe.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to Snapstub is limited to the amount you actually paid for the app — nothing if you never bought Snapstub Pro, and otherwise the one-time price charged in your App Store region. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including any tax penalty, missed deduction, or financial loss arising from a misread or mis-categorized receipt.
Privacy
Snapstub does not collect data about you or your receipts. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
Changes to these terms
If we change anything material, we'll update this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute that is not subject to binding arbitration under the Standard EULA shall be brought in the courts of Ontario.
